Fazenda Blogpost for June

Rio de Benção (River Church in Mozambique) cleared around the property and we sent money to them. Anytime you want to be involved in projects like this to bless people as they bless the farm let us know. We would be happy to have partners in these ventures. Also we had some hired workers clear around the trees and plants and they were paid in sugar cane. 

In addition, progress has been made on Mama Maria’s (Rodrigues’ mom’s) house. Finally we have all the walls finished to the top. We just need the reinforcing rebar at the top and then the roof. After that they will work on pouring the floors and doing the indoor plumbing and porch area, windows, etc.

There is still a lot to be done but we are excited to see this phase completed. It’s hard when supporting a long- term project to not get impatient and sometimes second guess whether we made the right decisions, etc. [This project started back at the beginning of 2025 after Cyclone Chido.]

But I’ve seen God’s faithfulness through this whole process and I believe the house will be a great blessing even if it’s not completed in the timing that I would like. 

There isn’t a whole lot more to publish for this month. We are super grateful for the donations, especially the ones that are reoccurring. One cool thing that I experienced this weekend was God gave me a verse that I didn’t even know was in the Bible but I’m holding on to it as a promise for this farm: 

“In that day— “Sing about a fruitful vineyard: I, the Lord, watch over it; I water it continually. I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it. I am not angry. If only there were briers and thorns confronting me! I would march against them in battle; I would set them all on fire. Or else let them come to me for refuge; let them make peace with me, yes, let them make peace with me.”
