Hello friends!
I wanted to share some updates with you all regarding the farm.
First of all congratulations to Jorge and his family. His wife, Joanna,,, just had a baby! We are excited to welcome Josue as the newest member of our farm crew. Jorge is our farm manager and also the pastor of the local church.
Secondly we are completing a house for Rajamo and his family to be able to live near the farm. Rajamo started working with us last month, and we are grateful to employ his skill set with his background in agriculture. We hope for more donors to help finish the doors to the house and provide sacks of cement to put up the siding, which is the only thing lacking before he can move in. We also need some more donations for gardening tools for the workers and seeds for planting. If you’d like to be a part of this, please head over to the donate section of our page, and thanks so much in advance!
Now for some exciting news! Thanks to a generous donor this month, we were able to start the process of purchasing another plot of land near our own. The owners of the land are the founders of a nonprofit that is working to help youth and children in the area, and we hope that this will not only allow our land to grow and be more fruitful in the future, but will give these friends some extra money to support the amazing work that they are doing.
The last update we have is that the church was able to pour the concrete floor. When we visited last summer, it had no permanent floor. The walls are still made of sticks/rocks, but as donations come in or they get money through other means, they will probably strengthen themwith cement.
I want to say a big thank you to all of our donors, both new and longtime, for their faithful donations. Without your support and prayers, there would be no farm. Please keep praying for more generous hearts to join us in order to develop our farm into a thriving ministry that can reach more people with employment, food, and the hope of the gospel. Blessings! Until next month.
